Woodlake Donor Brick Program

We’re upgrading Woodlake’s main baseball field into the 21st century. Beginning in the fall of 2008, we intend to replace our worn, chain link fence with a net fence and brick wall. Included in the upgrade will be expanded dugouts. These improvements will create a more eye-pleasing environment that is not only safer and stronger but can easily be maintained in all weather. The Woodlake pilot program has been approved by Kenner Recreation and is the first of its kind in the area. Completion date is for the 2009 season.

Woodlake takes pride in its baseball programs and through its Donor Brick agenda, you can honor the most successful baseball program in Kenner history. This is your chance to memorialize your family and friends into the lore of Woodlake’s playground. For every brick you purchase, a name will appear on a plaque on the Memory Wall in perpetuity. By making a contribution you will be ensuring the playing field for the next generation and beyond.

There will be several different levels of sponsorship. The levels of sponsorship start at $100 for individuals and $500 for corporate sponsors. The Woodlake Booster Club is trying to raise $60,000 with this effort.

You can purchase as many bricks as you like–and all are tax deductible. We encourage Woodlake members and alumni to rekindle their memories in honor of the fun and good times they’ve enjoyed here. Your contribution will provide a memory for individuals, parents, coaches and players. You can memorialize a specific Woodlake team as well. Regardless, all contributions will promote playground pride and beautify a playground that deserves your kind donor generosity.
